Introducing the ETB

The Engineering and Technology Board (ETB) is an independent organisation that promotes the vital role of engineers, engineering and technology in our society.
"To promote the vital role of engineers, engineering and technology in our society and to inspire people to pursue careers at all levels in engineering and technology."
The ETB partners business and industry, Government and the wider science and technology community: producing evidence on the state of engineering; sharing knowledge within engineering; and inspiring young people to choose a career in engineering, matching employers’ demand for skills."
Our strategic goals are:
To improve the perception of engineers and engineering
To improve the supply of engineers
To raise awareness and credibility of the ETB with key stakeholders
The ETB is funded predominantly by the registration fees of approximately 250,000 registered Chartered Engineers (CEng), Incorporated Engineers (IEng) and Engineering Technicians (EngTech). The balance of funding is generated from business and industry corporate membership, third-party project funding (including from Government), commercial income and financial investments.
