Business Plan
Following the appointment of the new Chairman and six new Board members, an away day was held in October 2007, at which the ETB’s purpose was defined:
To promote the vital role of engineers, engineering and technology in our society and to inspire people to pursue careers at all levels in engineering and technology.
The Board also agreed three strategic goals:
To improve the perception of engineers and engineering;
To improve the supply of engineers; and
To raise awareness and credibility of the ETB with key stakeholders.
These are goals for the next 4-6 years
Achievement of these goals will depend on the ETB’s programme of activity, which will be driven under the three headings of Promotion, Research and Education and Skills.
