SET CPD
Continuing Professional Development is the updating and enhancement of skills, knowledge and competence which takes place throughout working life. Put simply, a life-long learning approach to planning, managing and getting the most from your own development.
This updating and enhancement of skills is vital to the productivity of UK plc. Our own research in these areas has highlighted that productivity is closely tied to the training and education of engineers after they graduate from formal education.

This report presents the findings of a research project looking at international models for engineering CPD as delivered through e-technologies. The research focused on the roles of the various agents in the CPD matrix (professional institutions, universities and technical colleges, private training providers, and companies themselves) across three continental regions: North America, Australasia and Western Europe.
